John Arbon Textiles

We are an independent micro business making yarns and fibre tops in our small scale, worsted spinning Mill in North Devon (one of only a handful still operating in the UK). We source fibre locally, or through trusted suppliers in the Falklands and worldwide. We use predominantly vintage machinery that we have lovingly restored and maintained to create wonderful artisan goods using a hands-on approach to production. We love spinning custom yarn for a selection of equally minded businesses.

Seiden-Atelier Gottlieben

Dyeing with natural materials is exciting, surprising and a challenge. All colors can be combined with each other and are beautiful in their own way. The art of dyeing is to achieve a radiant result without chemical additives and to use only ingredients that are biodegradable. The color is freshly prepared for each dyeing process. Dyeing is done by boiling. The weight of the plants depends on the desired color intensity. After dyeing, the silk is washed out. One kilo of silk is dyed in a dye pot and each kilo is unique.

Sidispinnt

Sidispinnt is a small label all about knitting, spinning, yarns and fibres. The studio was founded in 2013 by Asita “Sidi” Krebs right after she finished her diploma in “Handspinning and Yarn Design”.
We attach great importance to the quality of the products and fair treatment of the animals from which the fibres come or people who work in the processing chain of the fibres..
